Classroom Councils
Building a culture of respect and positive relationships in the classroom is a key strategy for preventing absenteeism and school dropout in primary schools.
Classroom Councils are spaces for assemblies and workshops where, through collective dialogue, we create and monitor shared agreements for mutual care.
Together with children and teachers, we develop proposals, encourage active listening, and address the everyday challenges of school life. We approach conflict as an opportunity to learn and improve how we live and learn together.
We train and support teachers and students in setting up Classroom Councils and electing class delegates. We also hold regular meetings with representatives from all grades and participating schools.
We celebrate the commitment of the children who think collectively and work to improve school life for everyone.
